Happy New Year!

We celebrated the New Year with the Herndon side of the family. We really wanted to do something special with the children. So, we had the children write or draw something they were praying for this year. Then, we gave each child a helium balloon and had them tie their prayer/picture to the balloon. We counted down and released the balloons. Then we didn't feel so bad for sending the kids to bed at 8:30! (This was all Kelly's idea by the way -- isn't she great!)
After that all the moms and dads had a great time playing "What were you thinking."
